HIV in the United Kingdom: 2014 Report

The Annual Public Health report HIV in the United Kingdom has just been published by the government.

Here are some key findings from the report
– An estimated 107,800 people in 2013 people in the UK have the HIV virus
– New diagnosed count was 6000 people with HIV and 320 with AIDS
– The gender split between male and female people seeking HIV care was 55,200 men and 26,300 women
– 5% increase in HIV test carried out in 2014. this is now over a 1 million tests.
