Bloomsbury Clinic

The Bloomsbury Clinic at the Mortimer Market Centre is one of the largest HIV clinics in Europe with over 4,300 patients, a team of 30 doctors, 17 health advisers, 60 nurses, 11 psychologists and three, part-time salaried Patient Representatives.

The Clinic provides routine testing, follow-up clinics, emergency walk-in services, reproductive and sexual health treatment advice, renal clinic, hepatitis co-infection, family and transition clinics, plastic surgery, neurology, oncology, dermatology, a dietician, in-house pharmacy, and a large ante-natal clinic.

Routine Testing

Day time, early morning and evening clinics available for bloods, sexual health and HIV

Emergency Walk-in Service

Dedicated on call doctor service available from 9am-1pm daily & Wednesday 1pm-3pm for those concerned about their health and who need to see a doctor urgently.

Reproductive and Sexual Health Treatment

Advice available all day, every day from Health Advisors and also free condoms and lube available for all.

Renal Clinic

Once monthly clinic for those whose who have medical problems with their kidneys.

Hepatitis Clinic

Twice weekly clinics for those affected by Hepatitis B & C – for both mono and co-infected patients. Vaccinations are also available against Hepatitis A & B.

Family and Transition Clinics

Our doctors run the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Paediatrics service. At 15 years old the children graduate to Team clinic at Mortimer Market Centre.

Facial Lipoatrophy

A clinic for people who have developed facial lipoatrophy as a result of taking some of the older antiretroviral drugs, which are now rarely used.


Regular clinics for those who may have problems with their nervous system.


A weekly HIV / Oncology service runs at UCLH for patients receiving treatment for cancer.


The Bloomsbury Clinic aims to provide general advice about your diet and how your diet can improve your health.

In-house Pharmacy

The Mortimer Market onsite pharmacy allows both patients and medical staff improved access to medicines and drugs used during patient treatment. Having the onsite pharmacy means patients do not have to make additional trips, the medicines are close to hand and all key drugs are stocked, with the aim of simplifying patients care.

Home delivery of medication can be arranged by the pharmacy team.

Antenatal Clinic

Special counselling if you or your partner would like to become pregnant or if you would like to father a child.

Citizen’s Advice Bureau

Available for Camden and Westminster residents – it’s the only Citizen’s Advice Bureau in the UK to deal with HIV specific concerns. At Mortimer Market every Monday.

Club Drug Clinic

Available at the clinic on Monday mornings – For those who feel they need support around the use of recreational drugs.


Available at the clinic on Monday afternoons. Serves the substance use needs of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender(LGBT) Community. All free and confidential.
